A Day in the life….

This week we have been changing places at work! To grow as a business and as a team we think it is important to appreciate everyone’s role.

Our SOS base incorporates a nine hole golf course and friendly cafe so today I had the privilege of working with Phil, our fabulous chef! Helping both with prepping but mainly front of house,  taking orders , answering the phone, using the till and looking after the customers in both our cafe,  the shop or on the phone. We had chosen a Monday as It was suppose to be a gentle day but honestly in the blink of an eye it went from 8.30am to 5.30pm,  with a constant stream of different experiences. From the slightly grumpy dishwasher engineer’s repair visit to the twice daily toilet check; the ecstatic beginner golfer who had just enjoyed her first par on the course, to the customer looking fab in a Rohnisch skort and Abacus shirt ready for a trip to Portugal later this month. Whether it be delivering a Brie, Cranberry and Bacon Ciabatta or organising a buggy and 9 hole green fee, it was incredible to experience the warmth of the customers and the great respect they have for our chef and front of house team.

What a start to my week! Bring on Tuesday……
