Taken from the March Edition of Essex Golfer...

Here's the story of Charlotte Thompson over the few months since she won her place back on the Ladies European Tour Access Series last season.

When Charlotte secured her card for the Ladies European Tour she was full of excitement and looking forward to the challenge ahead. At the start of 2018, Charlotte was pleased to announce her new attachment for the fore coming future at Stoke by Nayland golf hotel and spa, the place she will call her golfing home. With this sorted her attentions were then directed to planning the start of the year with maybe some warm weather training.

When the 2018 LET schedule was released it revealed that the first few tournaments were being played in Australia from mid January to early March with also the opportunity to join the Australian Ladies Tour and play in some extra pro ams through this time. All the entrants have to fund their own flights, accommodation and costs for the tour and it looked at one stage that this would prohibit her from taking place.

Thankfully Martin Weaire of Associated Security Solutions kindly offered to help with her flights and some expenses for the trip, in return for some future appearances at their corporate golf days.  With the flights, some expenses and clothing sorted (thank you to Swing Out Sister Ladies Golf Clothing) Charlotte was booked and ready to head over to make the long trip to the other side of the world.
